For those who watch the dancing reality TV show Dancing With The Stars, I am sure it has been quite a while since the name “Edyta Sliwinska” has been mentioned, since she has not appeared on the show since season 10; however, Sliwinska has been making a lot of headlines lately since the announcement of the pregnancy of her first child with her husband and other Dancing With The Stars pro-dancer Alec Mazo.

Edyta Sliwinska is a 32-year-old Poland-born ballroom dancer who fell in love with dancing at age 10 (Source: People Magazine), and she has been involved with Dancing With The Stars since the show’s first season in 2005. Sliwinska has had a wide variety of celebrity dance partners, such as: Evander Holyfield, George Hamilton, Cameron Mathison, and Aiden Turner.

This past Thursday, October 10th, Sliwinska announced her pregnancy to the public via Twitter, publishing a tweet (shown below) stating “There it is, my little secret. Less than 2lbs little,” along with a picture on Instagram of her showing off her baby bump.

Later in the day, in a response to a tweet from Natalie Coughlin, a 12-time Olympic medalist (who also was on Dancing With The Stars as a celebrity dancer), Sliwinska exclaimed that she cannot wait to become a mom.

On Friday (October 11th), Sliwinska discussed details of the baby with People Magazine and stated the following:

I’m due in January and we are having a boy. We’ve been together for 13 years; married for six. We were both so ready for it and we’ve been planning on this for the past couple of years.”

Edyta Sliwinska is not the only Dancing With The Stars pro to have recently announced her pregnancy. Back in September, Anna Trebunskaya announced that she recently became pregnant as well.
