Dorinda Medley is a New York socialite, and the latest to sign on to join the cast of The Real Housewives of New York. The show’s seventh season is scheduled to premiere on April 7th on Bravo.

According to a report from People, Medley likes “to see a good argument between two people.”

That in itself makes it sound like Dorinda Medley is the perfect cast member for this kind of show.

“I think you learn when you argue,” Medley told the New York Post. “It’s just an expression of your opinion.”

Oh, Dorinda Medley will learn lots this coming season–especially since Bethenny Frankel is back on the show.

Medley is a widow. Her husband, Richard Medley, was a hedge fund advisor. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 60. She has a 21-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. Dorinda Medley, now 50, is ready for ‘the next chapter.’

“I’ve been presented with a lot of different challenges, and that’s why I wasn’t afraid to be on the Housewives,” she said. “The whole point is to keep going forward and try again.”

Dorinda Medley is no stranger to The Real Housewives of New York. In fact, she has made cameo appearances on the show before. She is also friends with Housewives Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps.
