Singer Don McLean has been arrested in Maine.
The singer, best-known for his 1971 hit song “American Pie”, was booked early Monday morning on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence, according to reports.
He was reportedly released on $10,000 bail.

McLean has lived in Camden, Maine with his wife Patrisha for over two decades.
According to police, the charges McLean faces are the lowest level of the crime.
