Dolly Parton recently announced that her new Blue Smoke World Tour will expand. The country music star said that the tour will start at the beginning of the year in the United States and continue through Australia and Europe. Dolly said that she is excited to start the tour in the United States.
“It’s always great to perform at home in the good ol’ USA. We’re kicking off our Blue Smoke World Tour right here at home. I love traveling all over the world; but it’s true, there’s nothing like home,” she said.
Dolly has said in numerous interviews that she loves to travel and has shared special memories from many of her tours in various countries. Dolly was last in Australia in 2012 for a concert tour but has not been to New Zealand in over 30 years.
In between her tours in Australia and Europe, Dolly will be traveling back to the United States for several more stops. Her May concert in Knoxville, TN will raise money for Dolly’s Imagination Library, a charity that provides books to children in Tennessee and many other states across the country.
The last stop on Dolly’s Blue Smoke Tour will be Stockholm, Sweden. Will you be catching a Dolly Parton concert in 2014?
