David Foster, renown songwriter and producer, and his wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster, are ending their four-year marriage. The couple announced they are divorcing earlier this week, in a statement to People magazine.

“Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways,” the statement read. “We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”

This was the fourth marriage for David Foster, who has 16 Grammy awards under his belt. He is the father of five daughters. Yolanda Foster has three children from a previous marriage. Daughters Bella and Gigi Hadid are famous for their work in the fashion modeling industry, and for their friendships with the young Hollywood set, including Kendall Jenner. Gigi Hadid is dating former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, while Bella Hadid is dating American Music Award winner The Weeknd.

“We are grateful for the years we’ve spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best,” Yolanda and David Foster’s statement continued. “I hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we’ve learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another.”

Yolanda Foster has had serious health problems attributed to Lyme disease. Some have speculated that David Foster could no longer deal with the restrictions her illness put on their lifestyle.
