The Star Wars film franchise would not be complete without the ultimate villain, Darth Vader, and for some hardcore fans who have “missed” him in Episode VII: The Force Awakens, he is rumored to make a comeback in the upcoming spin-off film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Rogue One will be the first of many Star Wars films that Disney and Lucasfilm will have in store for fans, and reports claim that there will be a Star Wars film to be released each year.

The events in the upcoming film directly connect to the first scenes of Episode IV: A New Hope, in which Darth Vader pursues Princess Leia’s ship to recover the stolen plans for the Death Star.

In the spin-off film, a group of Rebel spies infiltrates the Death Star and steals some important schematics to find a weakness that Luke Skywalker and company would find out in Episode IV.

Because the events will take place in enemy territory, it is very likely that Darth Vader will make appearances here and there. Reports said that Vader will be a “prominent player in a few scenes and something to fear for the heroes.”

In fact, a team of designers led by helmet sculptor Brian Muir has reportedly recreated his costume in such a way that it resembles the one in A New Hope.

James Earl Jones, the person responsible for the original voice of Darth Vader, would also return to voice the black-caped villain, although another actor is said to actually wear the costume.

Aside from the return of Darth Vader, another main character that set to return [spoiler] to life is Han Solo, who will reportedly make a cameo appearance in the film as well.
