Danielle Bradbery has become the youngest winner of the talent competition “The Voice”, and there’s at least one person who isn’t shocked at all.
Judge and coach Adam Levine called Bradbery’s win earlier this week, saying, “The crazy thing about your voice is it’s just so unbelievably perfect and powerful. It’s one of the better voices I think I’ve ever heard live. … And I’m just gonna go ahead and say, I think Danielle’s [the] winner of this thing.”
The 16-year old wowed audiences this season and was kept in the spotlight by the show’s producers, who wanted to give her a chance to show off her chops as much as possible. She closed out several episodes and took part in more than one performance on Monday night, giving her fans plenty to talk about on Tuesday. By Tuesday evening, she was the talk of social media, especially for her performance of “Born To Fly”.
Bradbery’s coach, Blake Shelton, said he was happy she’d chosen the show to debut on; the young performer has given Shelton his third win in a row.
“As your coach, I’d like to sit here and say coach-y type things, but at the end of the day … I’m one of the millions of people out there that you have wrapped around your finger,” Blake said. “Thank God that you came to ‘The Voice’ to debut yourself, because you are such an important person in music and I can’t say enough about you.”
Bradbery said the first thing she wants to do after the win isn’t celebrate, but get some rest.
“I’m definitely going to go home first because I want to sleep in my bed,” she said.
For such a young talent, the business can be a difficult, frightening one, but this can also be the beginning of a huge career. Bradbery says she’s ready for it.
“I definitely got a feel of [stardom] throughout this whole journey, [and] I’m just ready for whatever gets thrown at me,” she told Us Weekly. “I’m bracing myself and I’m just really excited.”
