Dancing With the Stars crowned a new winner on Tuesday night, and she comes from the land down under. Bindi Irwin and pro partner Derek Hough danced away with that coveted mirror ball trophy.

Of her Dancing With the Stars win, Bindi Irwin said she hopes her late father, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, would be proud of this achievement.
“I couldn’t even imagine if [he] was here right now,” she told reporters following her big win. “Honestly, I hope that he’d be proud of me. And I hope that I am able to carry-on in his footsteps and make sure that his legacy lives on.”
“His strength is what keeps me going,” the new Dancing With the Stars champion added. “Life is filled with so many challenges and beautiful moments and to be able to share them with my family and the ones that you love the most. That’s what’s most important.”

Nick Carter and pro partner Sharna Burgess took second place in the Dancing With the Stars finale, with Alek Skarlatos and Witney Carson coming in third.

Dancing With the Stars will return for its 22nd season beginning on March 21st. Beloved judge Len Goodman announced during the finale that he is returning then.
