Cyber Monday: How Do The Deals Compare To Black Friday Deals?

Now that Black Friday is in the past, it’s time for both stores and shoppers to focus on Cyber Monday deals. If you aren’t familiar with Cyber Monday, it is the Monday after Thanksgiving when online stores offer sales, deals and specials. Many people prefer Cyber Monday over Black Friday because they are able to get good deals on hot holiday gifts, without leaving their homes or fighting traffic and large crowds.

While Cyber Monday is becoming increasingly popular with both stores and shoppers, many people still feel that Black Friday offers the best deals of the season. So how do this year’s Cyber Monday deals compare to the deals from Black Friday?

Instead of only offering online deals on Cyber Monday this year, Walmart has decided to offer their online deals the entire week after Thanksgiving. Some of the best online deals at Walmart.com include a Double Power 7″ tablet for $59, a 46″ Samsung LED TV for $478 and an Apple iPod Touch for $199. Walmart is also offering lower prices on toys, clothing and home goods and free shipping on order over $35.

While many shoppers will take full advantage of these deals, they just don’t compare to some of the deals from Walmart’s Black Friday event when shoppers were grabbing up 32″ TV’s for $98 and iPad Minis for $299 with a $100 Walmart Gift card.

Target is also offering an entire week of deals, starting on Cyber Monday. Some of their deals include buy one get one 50% off on clothing, shoes and accessories, price cuts on their entire toy selection, including the Furby Boom which will be $40.99, and a Canon Powershot A3500 16MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom for $99.99.

These deals don’t seem that great either when compared to Black Friday prices, when the Furby Boom was being sold for $30 at several stores and with many others offering 50% off clothing and accessories.

While shopping at some online stores during Cyber Monday may be disappointing, stores that only offer online shopping such as Amazon will be offering some of the best prices online during their Cyber Monday deals week. Their ad promises shoppers that they can save as much as 20% on tablets, 40% on cameras and over 50% on hundreds of other items including gourmet cookware, telescopes and small electronics.
