The trailer for “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” has made its debut this week, and fans of the group are buzzing about it.
The VH1 original movie was overseen by T-Boz and Chili, who were executive producers, so it’s not surprising that the level of accuracy in the film–right down to the accessories, dance moves, and distinct manner of speaking for each girl–is stellar. The trailer shows us video recreations for “Waterfalls”, “Scrubs”, and “Creep”, which all look amazing. With Drew Sidora as T-Boz, Keke Palmer as Chili, and Lil’ Mama as Left Eye, the film is already getting tons of buzz even though it doesn’t debut until October.
VH1 is known for their original movies, for better or for worse; Def Leppard found huge success with theirs, but MC Hammer…not so much. And with the tragic death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes looming over the production–not to mention the tension the group suffered through right before she died–it might be hard to win fans over.
