Christine Baranski's Husband of 30 Years Dies

It's not often a Hollywood marriage stands the test of time and it's sad to hear that The Good Wife's Christine Baranski has lost her husband of 30 years, Matthew Cowles.

Cowles — an actor best known for his role as villain Billy Clyde Tuggle on All My Childrendied Thursday at the age of 69.

Cowles manager, Tsu Tsu Stanton, announced the sad news on Twitter Friday.

The veteran actor's career included roles on the small screen, the big screen and on Broadway.

As well as his role in All My Children, his television appearances include The Bold and Beautiful, Oz and Life on Mars.

Cowles earned two daytime Emmy nominations for his portrayal of Tuggle and also appeared in the web-only version of the long-running soap opera when it debuted in 2013.

His roles on Broadway included The Time of Your Life and Sweet Bird of Youth. He also appeared in Hollywood films Shutter Island and American Loser. He also wrote several plays.

Other condolences for Baranski were tweeted by fans and colleagues.

The couple married in 1983 and have two daughters together – Isabel and Lily.
