Christina Applegate has caused a flurry of disbelief and rabid speculation after she was accosted on an episode of Watch What Happens Live! with the question that shook the world.

It seems Christina Applegate ditched Brad Pitt, yes, Brad Pitt, in 1989 during a date to the MTV Movie Awards.

While her actions are clearly inexcusable and mind-boggling, most are left wondering: So WHO is this guy that Christina Applegate ditched Brad Pitt for?

During the episode of Watch What Happens Live!, Christina Applegate was surprised by the question from host Andy Cohen.

Cohen said, “There was much talk of a date you went on with Brad Pitt to the MTV Movie Awards in 1989 in which you reported that you ditched mid-date, it says you ditched him for another guy.”

I love these dudes!!!!

He continued, “My question is who was the other guy you ditched Brad Pitt for?”

Christina Applegate was participating in a round of “Plead the Fifth”, but she had already used her “fifth” already.

Christina Applegate coyly asked, “How many fifths do I get? I have to say it?”

Then, when pressed for an answer, Christina Applegate said defiantly, “I don’t have to do nothing.”

Luckily, Andy Cohen asked a series of follow-up questions that brought out the fact that the man was not a movie star, but was well known to the public.

Also, Christina Applegate said she never formed a relationship with the other man and she never had another date with Brad Pitt.

So, the question remains: Who do you think Christina Applegate ditched Brad Pitt for?
