Chrissy Tiegen, also known as singer John Legend’s girlfriend, apparently isn’t a fan of lip synching; after Chris Brown’s performance at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, she tweeted a comment about it not being live. And although she wasn’t alone in her criticism of Brown, his legion of followers–who call themselves Team Breezy–jumped her via Twitter and bashed her up one side and down the other.
Here is the offending tweet:
If you look at Tiegen’s Twitter page, you’ll see a long stream of comments from Brown’s fans ranging from angry to threatening, and Tiegen wasn’t shy about answering them back. Caution: strong language (obviously).
@BriMarie__ She better be lucky she John Legend wife or girlfriend or whatever the fuck she is. would’ve dragged her ass
@chrissyteigen bitch who the fuck are you hoe? you unknown bitch. you need some DICK in yo life? u mod? cause he winning.. bitch get a life
@ChrisBAvenue: WHO ARE YOU…? WE NEED TO KNOW YOUR RELEBANCE BEFORE WE DRAG YOU
@shedopethough_ who are you to have any input on any say you don’t matter your just somebody’s hoe
@Jamie94882440 Your just mad because you were another SLUT with a dress at the award show that nobody knows
@MsBreezy_CBE And your ironically a hoe…
Tiegen finally ended the retweets and stopped replying to the comments on her page, saying “This is less about Chris and more about the insanity that spews out of the rabid mouthes of Team Breezy. Done. There will be no more said.” And while some of her followers came to her defense during the melee, it’s mostly been overlooked that singers Pink and Joe Jonas also tweeted about Brown’s performance, yet for some reason Tiegen was singled out, perhaps because she’s not as known as the others.
Brown, who is well-known for his dancing and outrageous stage performances, might have just been relying on a backing track to keep the physical aspect of his performance flowing well, as many singers are wont to do.
