Cheryl Cole is making waves with her first music-based commercial as a spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris. The former brunette rocks a new blonde hairstyle in the commercial, as well as an eye-catching black ensemble.
“There’s that famous quote ‘blondes have more fun’ and I think that they do,” said Cole on her decision to go blonde. Of the commercial, Cole said “It’s always something I wanted to do with L’Oreal. Combine what I do, with what they do. I wear L’Oreal product when I’m performing or when I need to keep a hair style in place so everything just seemed to make sense.”
It’s a good thing Cole is being so publicly enthusiastic about her collaboration with L’Oreal, as Adele turned down a £12 million offer from the brand to replace her in November. L’Oreal is reportedly unhappy with Cole, as her regular hair color changes and decision to get tattooed don’t align with their image.

Cole signed with L’Oreal in 2009, one year after she started work as a judge on The X-Factor. The former Girls Aloud singer left the show after a 2011 spat with Simon Cowell, however her return to the judging panel was announced in March. The L’Oreal commercial, to be released on April 21, coincides perfectly with the start of UK X-Factor auditions.
