Chelsea Houska of Teen Mom 2 fame announced her engagement to Cole DeBoer on Wednesday. The two seem to have a great relationship per Teen Mom standards. They even adopted a pig together during the show’s last season. Now if that isn’t the perfect requisite for living happily ever after, then there is no such thing.

Fans of Chelsea Houska know she often relies on her dad, Randy Houska, for advice, so it’s likely they are wondering if Randy approves of her engagement.

It seems he more than approves. Chelsea Houska’s dad took to Twitter after learning his daughter was engaged, and shared his excitement with his followers.

Chelsea Houska has long loved the fact that her now-fiance and her dad get along so well.

Cole DeBoer shared a photo of Chelsea Houska showing off her dazzling diamond engagement ring following his proposal on Wednesday.

“Glad to be stuck with this fine piece of acccce!! @chelseahouska,” he eloquently captioned his Instagram post.

Chelsea was a bit more refined in her post.

“I honestly cannot believe how lucky I am. Finally found my Prince Charming and I get to be with him for the rest of my life!” she wrote.

Chelsea Houska has long said how wonderful Cole is with her six-year-old daughter Aubree. During the Teen Mom 2 reunion show last month, she expressed those sentiments to Dr. Drew Pinsky.

“I’m so happy and grateful for Cole coming into our life and being that person [for Aubree]. But I think it’s sad that her real dad isn’t like that or doesn’t give her those same feelings,” she said.

Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s dad, attended the reunion show, too.

“If he’s a good influence in Aubree’s life, why would I want to take that away from her? He’s a good kid, a good guy,” he said.

While it certainly sounds like Adam Lind is trying to get out of parenting his own daughter, Aubree is indeed blessed to have Cole as a father figure. It seems both Chelsea Houska and Aubree are deserving of Cole’s love.
