I think we can firmly say that the great Wii U drought is finally over. Nintendo is releasing at least one strong first-party title a month and will do so up through February of next year. In fact, Nintendo has released two new trailers for titles coming out this year and next.
First up is the latest trailer for Wii Party U – a party game for up to four players that invites them to gather around the Gampad and compete in minigames. If the Wii U Gamepad isn’t your style, Wii Party U also sports over 80 minigames that just use the Wii Remote Plus. The game comes with one Wii Remote Plus to help you reach the four required for the minigames.
Wii Party U will launch exclusively for the Wii U on October 25.
If minigames aren’t your thing, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze may just be right up your alley. The sequel to 2010’s excellent Donkey Kong Country Returns combines the tried and true platforming from Retro’s first title and combines it with some new gameplay mechanics, like the introduction of Dixie Kong as a playable character.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze has been delayed until February 2014.
