Charlie Sheen and his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, finalized their divorce in May 2011 and have been in a bitter custody battle concerning their twin sons, Bob and Max, ever since.

Denise Richards was awarded temporary custody of the twins in May due to Mueller’s drug problems and her involuntary psychiatric hold in the hospital. Although she was supposed to maintain custody until the end of the year, it was confirmed today that Richards has given up custody of the boys and they will soon be moving back in with their mother.

Richards says she made the difficult decision to relinquish custody due to the boy’s increasingly aggressive behavior. She claims that they have, on more than one occasion, attacked her daughters, Sam, Lola, and Eloise. She also said they have been aggressive towards her dogs, as well. Richards said she would have kept custody if she could have sought psychiatric care for the boys, but that Mueller had blocked her from doing so.

The judge awarded Mueller’s brother, Scott Mueller, temporary custody, and because he felt it important for the children to remain in the same school, he determined Scott and the children could move into his sister’s home.

A source said Scott asked Sheen for child support immediately after being granted custody. “Scott has formally notified Charlie Sheen’s lawyer he wants $55,000 in child support because he has been appointed Bob and Max’s temporary guardian,” the source said. “He expects to be paid, immediately, even though Charlie already pays for all of the boys expenses including their pre-school, doctors visits, etc. During the time that Denise Richards was their guardian, she didn’t ask Charlie for one dime in child support, she actually turned it down.”

It looks like things will only get worse for Sheen and his ex from here on out. After she tried to get a restraining order against Sheen and failed, Sheen took to Twitter to show his disgust.
