Carrie Underwood rocked New York Fashion week. The country singing sensation was spotted among the young Hollywood set who showed up to check out Rebecca Minkoff’s new line. Not one to frequent such shows regularly, Carrie clearly had a ball–and she met some new friends, too.
“I just thought I’d come in for the day and go along for the ride,” she said, noting she loves to attend fashion shows when possible, but that she hardly ever has the time. The Rebecca Minkoff Show was Underwood’s second of the day. She was spotted earlier at the Peter Som Show.
Anna Kendrick was another recognizable face in that crowd of young Hollywood Fashion Week attendees, and she and Underwood definitely hit it off. The Pitch Perfect star who hails from Maine, but is now prominent in the pack of popular celebrities, along with Carrie Underwood, made it obvious that a new group of women are interested in Rebecca Minkoff’s fashions. Formerly attracting slightly older women, it’s refreshing to see her designs cater to a younger set.
The two ladies learned they share a similar sense of humor, with Carrie Underwood getting quite a kick out of Anna Kendrick’s very direct, no-nonsense behavior.
A favorite moment at #NYFW was @AnnaKendrick47 telling the photographers to "be cool!" and "act normal!"

Rebecca Minkoff shows are known for their live music. This season she brought in AlunaGeorge, a British electronic music duo. Her runway was replete with leather, shearling and a new line of footwear–with some styles featuring stiletto heels, while others sported chunkier heels.
Minkoff is known for “a casual, upbeat collection of mixed patterns and textures, with some killer shoes and bags.”
It will be fun to watch both Carrie Underwood and Anna Kendrick at upcoming celebrity events to see how many of Rebecca Minkoff’s pieces they might be wearing.
