The 67th Cannes International Film Festival opened yesterday with a bang. Grace de Monaco, the controversial Grace Kelly biopic starring Nicole Kidman, created big time buzz. However, the buzz was mostly negative and the film is being called a huge flop and disaster.
Thankfully, the red carpet fashion was a success. Many journalists and onlookers who were lucky enough to attend the most celebrated film festival of the year, gushed over Blake Lively. According to Metro, she won the red carpet on opening day.
Lively has recently been on fashion-fire. At the annual Met Gala on May 5, the usually red carpet shy couple of Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, wowed the crowd with classic chic and grace.
Last night in France, the 26-year-old model and actress who is in Cannes for her work with L’Oreal Paris, absolutely stunned in a burgundy Gucci gown.

It was a rough day for Nicole Kidman, who was forced to defend her film about Kelly’s first years as princess after she married Prince Rainier III of Monaco. However, the Aussie actress saved grace at the red carpet evening premiere of the film with a fresh looking Armani Prive chainmail gown.

There is plenty more star power and fashion to come out of Southern France. The festival runs through May 25.
