Candis Cayne celebrated her birthday–albeit a few days late–with Caitlyn Jenner and a few of their closest friends.

It was back on August 29th that Candis Cayne turned 44. It’s uncertain why Caitlyn Jenner and the rest of the girls took so long to celebrate, but it likely had to do with someone’s work schedule.

The I Am Cait star took Candis Cayne to Fig & Olive in West Hollywood, where a few close friends met up with them. Caitlyn Jenner wore all black–pants and a top–topped with a black and white Moschino jacket. Candis Cayne opted for a vibrant blue mini-dress and high heels for the occasion.

Following dinner and dessert, as well as lots of conversation and laughter, Caitlyn Jenner and Candis Cayne left the restaurant together. The two aren’t dating, however. They are merely very close friends.

Candis Cayne is the first transgender actress to have ever played a transgender character on a recurring basis on primetime TV. She starred as Carmelita on the ABC drama Dirty Sexy Money back in 2007.

Cayne and Jenner became friends earlier in Caitlyn Jenner’s transition from Bruce Jenner.

It certainly appears as though Candis Cayne had a wonderful birthday celebration with her closest friends–even if it was a few days late.
