Camille Grammer, former wife of “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer, is recovering after having an invasive surgical procedure on Friday. The 45-year old mother of two underwent a hysterectomy following a diagnosis of endometrial cancer.
Grammer knew beforehand that because of a genetic predisposition, she was at a high risk for the disease and had been diligent about screenings, which paid off.
“The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period,” her rep said. “[Camille] has been diligent about regular checkups and monitoring, which explains that early detection and rapid treatment.”
Grammer will reportedly not be returning to “The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills”; she has left the show once before, citing privacy concerns.
“I didn’t want to expose my personal life so much anymore. I had done that and was over that,” the star said.
The show is expected to add two new cast members after the departure of Grammer and co-star Adrienne Maloof; Joyce Giraud and Carlon Gebbia will be appearing on the new season, along with longtime members Kyle and Kim Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Foster.
