  • Ever since news spread of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin splitting, the question on every one’s mind is probably, ‘What on earth happened’? Because on the outside looking in the couple looked happy and completely perfect for each other.

And now some people are starting to give their personal take on what happened, and others, like actress Cameron Diaz, are beginning to give their verbal support to Paltrow and Martin.

In a recent interview, the 41 year old star of the up and coming flick The Other Woman, praised the divorcing couple and said she commends them for being extremely honest and trying to end their marriage in a civil and respectful way.

“They’re being very honest about their relationship, which is that they are really great friends,” said Diaz. “They’re just consciously deciding that a part of their life is not going to be spent the way it’s been for the last 11 years….they’re amazing parents.”

Diaz certainly knows a thing or two about being one half of a famous couple, because she’s dated celebs like Jared Leto, Justin Timberlake and the singer Tyrese Gibson, just for starters. But perhaps surprisingly, she’s had a few girl-crushes in her lifetime and says that most women have experienced the same thing.

“I think women are beautiful, absolutely beautiful,” said Diaz in a separate interview with Glamour magazine. “And I think that all women have been sexually attracted to another woman at some point. It’s natural to have a connectivity and an appreciation for the beauty of other women.”

But Diaz says she loves men, and talked a little about what her turn offs are. “Being rude, period,” she said.

“I don’t have any patience with that. Oh, and too much cologne. That’s something I can’t do. Hygiene’s not a bad thing, either, so that’s quite high on the list. But basically I love a sense of humor because that’s what tells you how smart a man is. I love British humor and British men.”
