Cam Newton has led the Carolina Panthers to another victory, while showing off his impressive skills. This week, the outstanding quarterback led them to a victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have been struggling severely and have not won a single game all season.

Cam Newton has operated on a level all on his own when compared with others on his team, at times leading the team in passing and rushing yards. In the Thursday night game this week, they defeated the Bus’ccaneers 31-13.

Newton has helped the Panthers improve greatly, after several seasons of struggling. While they are not an elite team by any means, and in fact started this season 0-2, they have won 4 of their last 5 games, and are on track for a successful season.

ESPN states that The Panthers have also won three straight under the play of Newton, and in those games he has thrown for 667 yards, six touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also has two rushing touchdowns.

In yesterday’s game, Newton completed 23 of 32 passes, and also rushed for 55 yards on 11 attempts, a team-high. Meanwhile, the Bucs lost the first seven games in the season for the seventh time in franchise history.

Cam Newton is currently in his third year in the league, after graduating from the university of Auburn. According to Sports Illustrated, Newton has been playing better than he ever has, as he has been composed in the pocket, dynamic on the move, and able to run a complex offense.

Unlike some of the other stand-out younger quarterbacks like Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson, Newton has yet to make it to the post-season, but with a 4-3 record and an impressive start, maybe this will be his year. This also marks the first time that the Panthers have had a record that was above .500 in five years, which is a bit scary to think about.

While Cam Newton is certainly standing out in the statistics, he is also able to humbly admit that it is a team effort, and it would be wrong to say otherwise. After the game, he was quoted saying, “I just feel as if my production is off a lot of other people’s production. This is not a one-man show. I understand that, and I will not have that type of attitude.”
