Caitlyn Jenner is not afraid to say what is on her mind. For a long time, Bruce Jenner had hung back, taken all the razzing about that ponytail, listened to Kris Jenner ribbing him about how he dressed.

Caitlyn Jenner is having none of that. When rumor surfaced that she might be interested in Kris’ best friend Ronda Kamihira, Kim Kardashian asked about it.

“I don’t need to explain my relationship to anybody,” Caitlyn responded. “Nothing is going on. Certainly my intentions are not to hurt Kris. I don’t want anybody upset, but Kris is not going to tell me who I can and cannot hang out with.”

Now Caitlyn is opening up a bit more about Ronda and the nature of their relationship.

“Years ago I confided in Ronda, and she really has been a friend that has supported me,” Caitlyn Jenner says in her new show I Am Cait. “Combined with [hairdresser] Courtney, I’ve really got a great support group. From that standpoint, I’m blessed.”

In fact Caitlyn says it was Ronda who was her sounding board for deciding on her name. And “Caitlyn” was Ronda’s suggestion.

“I kind of narrowed it down to a few of them, Caitlyn being one of them, and I actually was with Ronda,” she explained. “I was talking to her about this whole thing about two years ago, and she goes, ‘Well, I’ve always liked the name Caitlyn.’ And I went, at some point, you just have to kind of bite the bullet and say, ‘Boom, it’s done.’ ”

Bruce Jenner made $100 million USD in 65 years. In the next 10 years, Caitlyn Jenner will make $500 million USD, analysts say.

While Caitlyn is reveling in her newfound honesty and freedom, she does have a concern that her mother may not quite be able to get her head around it all.

“I just sit here and … wonder. Everybody is very positive, and everybody feels really good about all this stuff but, you know, I’m kind of waiting for Mom to go, in a quiet time, ‘Oh my god, what’s happening?’ ”

Jenner’s mother, Esther, has said that she would come around eventually. “I’ve called [Caitlyn] Bruce since the day he was born. It’s going to take some time, but I will adjust.”
