Poor Bruce Jenner can’t get no respect. The man was a gold medal Olympian. Some people medal in one sport. Jenner’s sport was decathlon. He did ten things better than anybody else in the world.

Now he gets dogged daily by photographers looking to see if he’s shaven his legs, gotten a manicure, or anything else they can sell as an indication that the man is heading for a sex-change operation.

According to one of those “inside sources” dug up by Us Weekly, “His goal is to live as a woman and look as much like one. He has been struggling for a long time with his feelings about being a woman inside.”

“At some point he wants to address everything about changing his look to a more feminine style,” says this source. “But he doesn’t want it to be E! and he’s had enough of doing things only to advance Kris and the Kardashian empire. He feels a lot of anger and animosity towards Kris for suppressing his feminine side. Now he wants to live this way before it’s too late.”​

It’s one thing for some anonymous “source” to say all this. But then The Daily Mail got in touch with Bruce Jenner’s mom.

“I love him, no matter what,” Esther Jenner said. “There’s such raunchy publicity all the time. I don’t know. I’ve brought this up to him on the phone when we’ve talked and he says, ‘Mum ,you can’t believe this stuff,” he said, ‘You can’t pay any attention to this stuff,’ and I said, ‘Well I want to tell you one thing Bruce, I don’t care if what they’re putting out is true or false, it’s not going to change my love for you,’ and it’s true that’s exactly how I feel, but I don’t like it.”

When Esther Jenner was told about recent tabloid photos showing Bruce wearing pink nail polish she said, “I never heard of that, I never heard that, so I don’t know what to think.”

Esther says that Bruce is pretty nonchalant about the press surrounding his look.

“He just shrugs it off, tries not to think about it,” she said. “As long as he can get out there on the golf course every day or so, as long as he can drive race cars.”

Jenner is competing in the Baja 1000 with his son Burt right now.
