The well-known actress and model Brooke Burke-Charvet has been involved with the hit dancing reality show Dancing With The Stars since its seventh season when she was partnered with pro-dancer Derek Hough. Burke-Charvet has also co-hosted the show with Tom Bergeron since 2010, taking over from Samantha Harris. Coming up in March, Dancing With The Stars will be airing its 18th season, and unfortunately, Burke-Charvet will not be a part of it.
According to E Online, Burke-Charvet, the always-smiling co-host, will not be returning for the show’s upcoming 18th season. Burke-Charvet confirmed her dismissal from the reality show with E Online and various sources confirmed that she did not know that her job was in jeopardy. On Friday, February 21st, the ABC Network informed Burke-Charvet that she would not be returning to the show.
Burke-Charvet released the following statement to E Online:
“I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture. I’ve always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake.”
Early Saturday morning, Burke-Charvet announced her departure from Dancing With The Stars in a somewhat-jokingly fashioned tweet from her Twitter account:
weird day….Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS…ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season.

Dancing With The Stars Host Tom Bergeron later replied to Burke-Charvet’s tweet, letting her know that she will be missed on the show.
@brookeburke Weird day, indeed. Won't be the same without you. Dinner soon. No spray tanning required.

Executive Producer of Dancing With The Stars Conrad Green offered the following kindly worded statement to Access Hollywood pertaining to Burke-Charvet’s departure from the show:
“We can confirm that Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be joining us next season. She’s been a wonderful part of the Dancing with the Stars family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team. We’d like to thank Brooke for her years of great service.”
This is not the only change that Dancing With The Stars season 18 will have. According to E Online, Harold Wheeler and his 28-piece orchestra will be replaced by Ray Chew and his band. Dancing With The Stars returns with its 18th season on Monday, March 17th.
