The announcement to honor Spears follows reports that Caesars Entertainment is also in talks with another pop icon, Jennifer Lopez, to do a residency in Las Vegas. A spokesperson from Caesars Entertainment has reportedly said that no offer has yet been made to Lopez.
According to E! News, Spears has been experiencing a great residency in Las Vegas, with her show Pieces of Me surpassing expected success. Although Caesars did not reveal the exact amount, according to E!’s source, Spears will start earning more than her current $310,000 per show at a whopping $475,000 for each show. Additional dates for Pieces of Me at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will earn Spears almost $1 million a week.
