Britney Spears seems to think very highly of pop star Taylor Swift. The singer, who once topped the charts much like Swift is doing today, gushed over Swift at the Teen Choice Awards over the weekend.

“I love Taylor Swift,” the singer told E! News at the awards show. “I think she’s adorable. I love her music. Her music makes me so happy. She’s very level-headed. She’s a very, very smart girl, very wise.”

Both Spears, best-known for her hits “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops I Did It Again,” and Swift were honored at the TCAs. Taylor took home four awards (including Female Choice Summer Music Star) and Spears was given the Candie’s Choice Style Icon award.

Unfortunately for Britney Spears, Swift wasn’t in attendance at the Aug. 16 event as she’s currently on her 1989 World Tour. But Swift has a track record of bringing out a special guest (or three) in every city, so here’s hoping an onstage pop queen meet-up happens — by the sounds of it, Spears wouldn’t say no.

Britney admitted that her sons aren’t quite as into Swift as their momma. Instead, they’re big EDM fans.

“My kids are deejays,” Spears told E!. “They’re both in their rooms deejaying 24/7 and making up their own music.”

Britney’s boys had quite the treat when Skrillex stopped by her Piece of Me show in Las Vegas on Aug. 9, calling it a “dream come true” for her boys and posting a photo to Instagram to mark the occasion.
