In 2001, pop sensation Britney Spears released her album titled, "Britney." Hit's from, "Oops! ...I Did It Again" to, "I'm a Slave 4 U" made the album forever popular. Now, five albums later, Spears has announced her next album will be titled, "Britney Jean."

The singer confirmed the album title during an appearance on Capital FM on Tuesday morning (Oct. 15.) The album will hit stores on Dec. 3.

But why has the 31-year-old entertainer decided on, "Britney Jean" as the title?

"All my family, they always call me Britney Jean. It's like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans," said Spears.

When asked if there were any, "juicy collaborations" on the album, Spears playfully replied by saying, "you'll just have to wait and see."

This marks the singers eighth studio album. The single, "Work Bitch," rises back at the No. 13 on the current Hot 100 chart.
