America’s not-so-favorite family is making headlines again, and this time it’s because of a family brawl. You might think that we’re talking about the infamous Honey Boo Boo clan from Georgia, but no, we’re talking about the Palin family, which is led by former Alaska governor and VP nominee Sarah Palin. Following a brawl that happened a couple weeks ago that involved daughter Bristol Palin and other family members, Sarah has taken to Facebook to let everyone know that she supports her family.
According to Alaska Dispatch News, the brawl Bristol Palin was involved in broke out during dad Todd Palin’s birthday party. The fight involved up to 20 people, and Bristol and her brother Track were both seen throwing punches. Todd reportedly received a bloody nose during the fight, and four of Tripp Palin’s ribs were cracked.
No charges have been brought against anyone involved in the brawl, but apparently Sarah Palin is tired of hearing people drag the family name through the mud, as she decided to make a lengthy Facebook post talking about how great her family is.
“I love my Bristol! My straight-shooter is one of the strongest young women you’ll ever meet. I have to say this as a proud mama: right up there with their work ethic and heart for those less fortunate, my kids’ defense of family makes my heart soar!” Palin said in the post.
Not one to skip out on a chance to make things political, Palin also bashed the liberal media in her post. “As you can imagine, they and my extended family have experienced so many things (liberal media-driven) that may have crushed others without a strong foundation of faith…”

Palin posted a link to her Facebook post on Twitter, and quite a few fans commended Bristol Palin for fighting.

@SarahPalinUSA She is part of the reason I admire you so. Good kids come from good parents. We should all be so blessed…

There were a few less than glowing comments posted about Sarah’s support of Bristol Palin as well:
@SarahPalinUSA Ah, yes. Proud of your pregnant-at-17 daughter with anger management issues, especially when she drinks with mom. Ya betcha!

@JoeMyGod @SarahPalinUSA The Wasillabillies! Y'all come back now, ya hear!

So far, Bristol Palin hasn’t acknowledged the brawl, but did take the time to pen a short blog post letting everyone know that the rumor her parents are getting divorced is false. “The article and most of what the media reports about our family is complete garbage,” she said.
No matter what your opinion is of the Palin family, you have to admit that they know how to keep things interesting.
