Brie Bella took to Instagram this week to address her husband’s shocking announcement that he will be retiring from the WWE, saying they will always remember their fans.
Bella’s husband, Daniel Bryan, announced via Twitter on Monday that he won’t be coming back to the ring due to medical reasons. Fans were caught off guard and, during Monday Night Raw, were visibly upset when Bryan spoke about his decision.
“I don’t want to be doing this any more than you don’t want me to be doing this,” he said.
Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I'll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

Bryan said in a statement that although he was given the clearance to return to wrestling by doctors, a new test showed damage to his brain that made him think about his future.
“Within the first five months of my wrestling career, I’d already had three concussions. For years after that, I would get a concussion here and there, or here, or there, and it gets to the point when you’ve been wrestling for 16 years that it adds up to a lot of concussions. It gets to a point where they tell you that you can’t wrestle anymore. I have loved this in a way that I have never loved anything else. But a week and a half ago I took a test that said maybe my brain wasn’t as OK as I thought it was. And I have a family to think about, and my wife and I want to start having kids soon,” Bryan said.
Brie Bella took to Instagram this week to speak to the couple’s fans, saying they are beginning a new journey.
This isn’t the first health scare Brie Bella has watched her loved ones go through; her sister, Nikki, recently had surgery on her neck and won’t be able to get in the ring for several months. The ordeal was reportedly captured for the Total Divas cameras as the show follows her on the road to recovery.
