Bradley Cooper put on 40 lbs. for his latest role, and many fans believe that this extra weight is in all the right places.
The Silver Linings Playbook star has transformed his body to play a Navy SEAL in the new Clint Eastwood film American Sniper. Cooper will play real life SEAL Chris Kyle. The story follows his decade-long military career, which includes over 150 confirmed kills.
Cooper has been lifting weights and gaining muscle mass to look the part of Kyle.
“He’s really been working hard,” said co-star Eric Close in an interview. “He looks great. He’s really taken on this character. He really takes this story personally and wants to do an honorable job for Chris’ memory and for his family.”

Adding to Cooper’s dramatic body transformation is a new, bushy beard. The combination of muscles and the facial hair makes the actor look almost unrecognizable.
American Sniper will also star Sienna Miller, Kyle Gallner, and Luke Grimes, and is expected to hit the screens sometime in 2015.
