Bonnie Franklin, who starred in the ’70s sitcom “One Day At A Time”, is fighting pancreatic cancer, according to a statement released by her family and their representative yesterday.
Franklin was recently reunited with her onscreen daughter, Valerie Bertinelli, on her show “Hot In Cleveland” and has kept a busy acting schedule over the years, appearing on shows such as “Touched By An Angel”, “Almost Perfect”, and “The Young And The Restless”. Her rep’s statement said she is undergoing treatment for the agressive cancer and will be keeping her normal schedule.
“She and her family remain extremely positive and thank everyone for their support and concern. Respect for her privacy is greatly appreciated.”
