Bobby Brown Plea: No Contest Means No More Jail Time

Singer and recent widower Bobby Brown, who was arrested on a D.U.I charge in March after the death of his wife Whitney Houston, pled no contest yesterday in exchange for 36 months of probation and time spent in an alcohol program. Brown served one day of jail time immediately after the arrest.

Brown has notoriously battled drugs and alcohol for years and has said his problems got worse after Houston’s career took off and his took a back seat. After her death last month, Brown relapsed into his old ways and was initially pulled over for talking on his cell phone while driving, but was arrested after police discovered he was intoxicated. Houston’s autopsy revealed copious drug use to be a factor in her death, as it took a toll on her heart.

It seems so clear that he’s learned his lesson. RT @LANow: Bobby Brown gets no more jail time in DUI plea deal http://t.co/kqiNQBUj(image) 10 hours ago via Twitter for iPad ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto
