  • Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has spoken out for the first time since he found her unresponsive in a bathtub on Jan. 31.

In his first public statement, Nick Gordon says he is praying for Bobbi Kristina Brown and is refuting claims made by the Brown family that he is taking legal action to be able to see her.

Bobbi Kristina’s cousin, Jarod Brown, told Atlanta’s WXIA-TV on Thursday that Gordon, 25, was pursuing legal means to see his girlfriend, saying he had been barred from her hospital room after a heated argument.

Nick Gordon is refuting those claims through his lawyer.

“In response to reports that Nick Gordon is taking legal action, he would like it to be clear, he is not,” attorney Randy Kessler said in a statement. “Mr. Gordon’s only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina. “Mr. Gordon’s only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina. He remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon”

“Despite the incredible public interest, we ask and hope that this request can be resolved privately by Mr. Gordon and the family,” Kessler added.

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, remains on life support, is breathing with the help of a ventilator and has not regained consciousness since she was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago.

Nick Gordon is reportedly the focus of a police investigation over possible “foul play” in the incident. Investigators are considering suspicious wounds on Bobbi Kristina’s head and around her mouth.
