Bobbi Kristina Brown remains unresponsive nearly five months after she was found unconscious in a bathtub in her home. Rumors have swirled about her condition and her family’s actions, but the truth is that nothing much has changed.

“Krissi is breathing, but she cannot communicate,” a source close to Whitney Houston’s side of the family tells People magazine. “I think [Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother] Cissy Houston said it best–that’s she’s in God’s hands.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown lies in a bed in a medical rehab facility outside of Atlanta. Her family members focus on “making sure she is at peace,” the source explains.

“Someone usually will read to her the 23rd Psalm,” the source adds. “Her family is right there with her. They sing to her and talk to her. They just want her to feel that they are there by her side. They hold her hand a lot and pray with her too–even if she doesn’t know that they are there. In spirit, she knows. They have always tried to be there for her.”

So what does the future hold for Bobbi Kristina Brown?

“The family and her father (Bobby Brown) are just taking things one day at a time. She’s just in God’s care and it’s whatever he decides,” the source says.

Despite some of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family members remaining steadfast and prayerful, others are intent on causing drama and spreading rumors.

It was just last week that Leolah Brown–Bobby Brown’s sister–did her best to diss Pat Houston (married to Whitney Houston’s brother Gary) via Facebook. She accused Pat Houston of being more concerned about Bobbi Kristina Brown’s money than her health and well-being.

The family source says this simply isn’t true.

Noticeably absent from this report is any mention of Nick Gordon. He and Bobbi Kristina Brown lived together in the home where she was found unconscious. Bobby Brown hasn’t allowed Nick in to visit Bobbi Kristina, and believes he is somehow responsible for her present state.

It’s tragic that Bobbi Kristina Brown’s life has taken this devastating turn. Some no doubt wonder if she’d be better off simply letting go and being reunited with her late mother.
