Blake Shelton scored an R&B artist for The Voice’s Team Blake on Monday night during the live auditions–and he stole her away from his good friend–but Voice rival–Adam Levine, too. Sisaundra Lewis is 44 years old and she’s no novice to the music industry. A former back-up singer for Celine Dion (who appeared via cameo video to wish Sisaundra good luck), Lewis sang big and bold, the way her song–Aretha Franklin’s Ain’t No Way–demands.

Sisaundra’s rich sustained notes and soaring falsetto stunned all of the judges. Shakira said her voice was “ravishing.”

Adam Levine really wanted Lewis on his team and, of course, the teasing between the two coaches ensued. Ultimately Blake Shelton won out, leaving Adam to faux begrudge the country singer.

The Voice tweeted their own message regarding Sisaundra on Monday’s show.

Shortly thereafter they sent another tweet about Blake’s big score.

On the Kathie Lee Gifford and Hota Kotb’s hour of The TODAY Show Tuesday, Hoda made mention of Sisaundra to Jenna Bush Hager (who was filling in for Kathie Lee). She told Hager that with Blake’s R&B score, along with the handful of other singers he has acquired thus far, he would win this season’s competition of The Voice.

So you see, there’s now no way Blake Shelton can lose–like his did last season. He known has the rich, powerful vocals Sisaundra Lewis brings to his team–and Hoda Kotb says he’s sure to win.

If you missed Sisaundra’s performance on The Voice on Monday night, you must check it out–right now.

Oh yes, Blake Shelton has scored a major contestant withh Sisaundra Lewis. It will be fun to see how she–and Blake–fare this season.
