Blake Lively had better watch herself.

Her hubby, Ryan Reynolds, went on The Late Show with David Letterman recently and declined to discuss the name of his daughter with Blake Lively.

However, he did use some pretty colorful language to describe his love for Blake Lively and his baby.

As a new dad, Ryan Reynolds discovered that he loves Blake Lively more now than he did before she had their baby.

He said of his love for Blake Lively, “I’m not one for vomiting declarations of sentiment out across the airwaves, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I’d ever been in my entire life. I couldn’t even believe it.”

So sweet! But, soon after, things went south for Blake Lively in the conversation.

He said, “I used to say to [Blake Lively], ‘I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.’ I would say that to my wife.

He added, “And the second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby.”

Yikes.

He then went on to compare Blake Lively to a Denny’s. He said she provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner to the baby all day and all night.

To this, Dave Letterman quipped, “The flattery just doesn’t stop, does it?”

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will not announce the name to the media yet, but he said, “we definitely have a name”.

He joked, “I threw out the idea of just never naming the kid to be totally original, but we have a name. I just don’t want to say it in, like, a media context. I tell everyone who I meet, so it’ll come out.”

We’ll be glad when it does!
