Billy The Exterminator: Drug Charge Gets Him Probation

Billy the Exterminator recently pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of synthetic marijuana and will be put on probation for one year.

Billy, real name William Bretherton, and his wife Mary were arrested last year in Louisiana after police responded to a 911 call which ended up being a hang-up. When they arrived at the hotel it originated from, they found the couple in possession of the drug as well as paraphernalia. Bretherton eventually received a suspended sentence of 60 days of jail time and was ordered to pay a $500 fine; he’ll also undergo substance abuse treatment.

Bretherton’s show, which follows him as he helps people get rid of unwanted wildlife, airs on A&E, but the network has had no comment on his arrest.
