Bear Grylls is hosting a new show on NBC called Running Wild with Bear Grylls. This show will feature the normal outdoorsy fun with Bear Grylls, but with celebrity sparkle. Some of the adventure on deck will include skydiving in the Catskill Mountains and powering through Scotland’s treacherous weather.

Those on tap to join Bear Grylls on a wild 48-hour adventure are the likes of Channing Tatum, Ben Stiller, Tom Arnold, as well as lesser known entities like football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and Today anchor Tamron Hall.

Running Wild allows viewers to see inside the hearts and minds of these guests in a very open, honest and vulnerable way, pushing them out of their comfort zones and seeing what they are like in real life when stripped of all the benefits of celebrity.”, Bear Grylls said. “Ultimately, this show is about taking these stars on the adventure of a lifetime and being alongside them when they discover something new and empowering about themselves and their world. For me, that is always a privilege.”

Did I mention Channing Tatum?

There were other stars on board to do the risky show, but they wussed out. Executive Producer Ben Silverman wouldn’t name names, but said, “Just know there’s some tough celebrity big shots who got scared and backed out. But I don’t think we have a shabby lineup without them. Who doesn’t want to see Channing Tatum be rugged?”

Sure he is well-known from Man Vs. Wild and Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls, but how did they get all that star power willing to risk life and limb to run around with a guy that drinks his own pee?

Bear is just a well-known guy and he did this type of thing before with other actors.”, said Silverman. “That helped get all of these folks engaged.”

This sounds like a fun show! Running Wild with Bear Grylls will kick off its six-episode season on Monday, July 28th at 8/7c on NBC.
