Last year, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed III with an extra hour of missions for PlayStation 3 owners. The content ended up being four missions to stop Major General Benedict Arnold from overthrowing West Point.
This year, Ubisoft is once again giving Sony fans exclusive content. A series of missions, again totaling around an hour of gameplay, will be exclusive to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 copies of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
The content will star Aveline de Grandpré, the protagonist is last year’s Vita game Assassin’s Creed: Liberation. The story of the content takes place later in Aveline’s life, and players will get to take on the role of the female assassin in three separate missions.
The exclusive content was announced at the Assassin’s Creed panel at this year’s Comic-Con. Black Flag developers on the panel revealed that the present-day side of the content will be set at Abstergo Entertainment, where researchers are looking for good “products” in the genetic memories of many people.
The entirety of the Assassin’s Creed panel can be seen in the video below, and the few teasers of the exclusive PlayStation content can be seen starting at minute 36:
