Ashlee Simpson is engaged to marry Evan Ross, son of Diana, and showed off her ring in a photo she posted on Twitter this week.

Simpson and Ross were first seen together last summer and quickly started the rumor mill churning about whether they were an item, although they had been friends for quite a while before that. Ross isn’t shy about calling Simpson the love of his life, however.

“I’m so in love and we’ve got amazing things going on,” the “Catching Fire” actor said a couple of months ago. “We inspire each other.”

Simpson has been married once before, to Fall Out Boy singer Pete Wentz, and the two have a son together. The couple went through a painful divorce in 2011, but have said that they try to keep it together with one another for the sake of their child.

“I feel like we both realize that we’re parents and we’re in it for our kid. That’s made it really easy,” Wentz said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “I feel like, as a mom, she’s awesome. She’s an awesome mom and we get along really well when it comes to our kid now.”
