Jesse Williams, best known for his role as Dr. Jackson Avery on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, and his wife Aryn Drake-Lee have welcomed their first child together…a little girl!

Us Weekly was the first to confirm that Williams and Drake-Lee welcomed their daughter Sadie in early December 2013. Us was also the first to reveal that the couple was expecting back in October. At the time, a source close to the couple informed Us that Drake-Lee was due in December.

Williams and Drake-Lee met before Williams’ acting days, when he was a teacher in New York. After five years of dating, the couple married in September 2012. “Jesse was beaming with joy throughout the entire ceremony,” said a guest at the wedding. “It was the perfect night with lots of smiling, laughing and emotion. You could feel the love they have for each other. They’re madly in love!”

The couple celebrated and prepared for Sadie’s arrival with a baby shower in Brooklyn on Sunday, September 29.
