Arnold Schwarzenegger to Drink Beer in Super Bowl Ad

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger is doing more than just watching the Super Bowl this year. He will appear in one of the infamous half time ads–the ones even non-football fans always make a point to see. He will drink some Bud Light for a cool $3 million dollars, while Super Bowl fans raise a bottle or can to him in their homes or at local bars. This is something new for the former ‘Governator’ of California. He has made some advertisements overseas, but has managed to steer clear of doing any in the U.S. It seems money talks loudly and clearly to the Terminator star.

“Arnold has shot a series of ads in Japan but pretty much hasn’t done anything in the U.S.,” a source told the New York Post. “Persuading him to promote a beer is a big coup for Bud Light.”

Schwarzenegger has three films coming out in the next year or so. He will appear in The Expendables on the big screen, Years of Living Dangerously on Showtime, and in 2015 is set to return once again in his famed role in Terminator: Genesis.

It seems both Arnold Schwarzenegger and his estranged wife Maria Shriver are both active in the work force these days. She has been featured on both The TODAY Show and the NBC Nightly News, doing intriguing segments that feature a human touch–something Arnold appears to lack on the big or small screen. He obviously had the human touch when he cheated on Maria with their housekeeper Mildred Baena, with whom he fathered a love child–now-16-year-old Joseph.

Oh, what a character the former ‘Governator’ is. He certainly likes to have his cake (read: his Mildred or his beer) and eat it, too. Will you be tuning in on February 2nd to the Super Bowl XLVIII–at least to the half time ads, so you can watch Arnold Schwarzenegger guzzle some Bud Light? Arnold is competing against half time artist Bruno Mars–who is far younger and way cuter than he is. Who do you think people will talk about more following the big game?
