Ariana Grande and The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes recently ended their short-lived fling. However, Grande recently opened up, in the new issue of Cosmopolitan, about their very first date.
“We were going back to his hotel to watch a movie,” she said of their first date. “He had Ladurée macarons and sunflowers waiting — I love Parisian baked goods, and sunflowers are my favorite flower. He had taken the DVD player out of the bedroom and into the living room, because he said he didn’t want to take me into the bedroom on the first date.”
So why did Grande end her relationship with the sweetheart? A source, close to the couple, revealed to US Weekly the reason behind their split. “They just weren’t into it anymore,” the insider said.
Grande also talked about how different her lifestyle is compared to her friends her age. “A lot of my friends are partiers,” she adds, “but I’ve never really clicked with that. I like Barbra Streisand, and when was the last time you saw Babs getting, like, turnt up? That’s kind of the road that I, as a lady, would like to go down.”

Grande was even able to avoid corruption by Miley Cyrus. In a recent interview, Cyrus reveals she tried to get Grande to go on stage with her to help make Grande’s appearance “less sweet”. “I was backstage with Ariana Grande. I’m like, ‘Walk out with me right now and get this picture, and this will be the best thing that happens to you, because just you associating with me makes you a little less sweet,’” Cyrus said.
