Annie Lennox is no doubt grateful her daughter is alive. Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann and her boyfriend Ian Jones were involved in a terrible kayaking accident in Poughkeepsie, New York on Saturday. Sadly, Jones is still missing.
Officials have confirmed that Annie Lennox’s daughter was checked out at a local hospital and released shortly thereafter.
Lennox-Fruchtmann, who is 22, and her boyfriend, 32, were kayaking in the Hudson River near the Staatsburgh State Historic Site when they capsized at about 9:30 a.m., according to Dutchess County Sheriff’s Captain John Watterson says.
He added that alcohol and the river’s strong current may both be factors in the accident. Lennox-Fruchtmann was picked up by a passing boat.

Annie Lennox’s daughter is an artist. Jones is a photographer and model. She was on hand during the search for her boyfriend on both Saturday and Sunday. Watterson fears drowning is a very real possibility in this case.
“We’re doing everything we can to find him,” he says. “We hope to find him alive and well.”
People magazine reached out to reps for Annie Lennox, but have yet to receive a reply. She is no doubt concerned first and foremost with her daughter’s well-being and concerned about her boyfriend as well.
Anyone who may have information regarding Ian Jones or this kayaking accident is urged to contact the Dutchess County Sheriff at 845-486-3800 or 845-605-CLUE (2583), or by emailing [email protected].
