  • Anna Kendrick is a multi-talented star; not only can she act alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, she’s also a singer who demonstrates her chops in both Pitch Perfect films, the first of which included “The Cup Song”, an instant hit that made the rounds online. Now, she’s showing off her writing and social media skills as guest editor for In Style and lets us in on her Twitter secrets.

The actress says she does a lot of scrolling through her feeds when she’s traveling, and says that where before she mostly followed people in the movie industry, now she’s learned to branch out a bit for her own entertainment and enlightenment.

“I recently started following Diane Keaton (@Diane_Keaton), and Bette Midler (@BetteMidler), and Susan Sarandon (@SusanSarandon)—women who are old enough that they say whatever they want. That is amazing. Bette Midler is especially wonderful. She’s never self-centered, but it’s awesome to see,” Kendrick says.

Anna also gave shout-outs to comedians, calling out a couple from across the pond who keep her entertained when she can’t sleep. And according to her, there’s one movie star everyone should be following: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

“I also like to follow a bunch of British comedians and personalities like Jonathan Ross (@wossy) and Dermot O’Leary (@radioleary). They are great when you have insomnia and you are looking at your feed in the middle of the night which is during the day over there. You also have to follow Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) or you just aren’t living. His tweets are the most positive, inspiring things,” Anna Kendrick says.

Anna Kendrick has become a name synonymous with humor just lately, especially after she tweeted a rather racy post about Ryan Gosling last year which has now been shared over 36,000 times.

“Ugh – NEVER going to a Ryan Gosling movie in a theater again. Apparently masturbating in the back row is still considered ‘inappropriate,’” Kendrick wrote.

Recently, Anna said she had no regrets about her opinion on the hunky actor and told Nylon Magazine that Twitter didn’t allow for too much due to the character restrictions.

“I don’t give a f***. Twitter is only 140 characters. There’s really not that much that I could reveal, then regret later,” Anna Kendrick told the magazine.
