Anna Faris and Chris Pratt seem to have it all: money, good looks, successful careers. However, the couple had a major scare when their son Jack was born nine weeks premature in August, 2012.
During a recent interview with GQ magazine, Pratt was one of six people selected as the publication’s 2014 Men (and Women) of the Year, Faris explained the scary ordeal, “He was born at three pounds and we were told, Okay, you need to be prepared for raising a special-needs child. And we felt like it was devastating, but it also felt like, you know, we can do this.”
Pratt revealed in an interview with People magazine last July how the couple coped with the situation. “We were scared for a long time. We prayed a lot.” Pratt added, “It restored my faith in God, not that it needed to be restored, but it really redefined it. The baby was so beautiful to us, and I look back at the photos of him and it must have been jarring for other people to come in and see him, but to us he was so beautiful and perfect.”
Faris and Pratt say that young Jack is healthy, his only current medical issue is having to wear glasses.
Here’s a tweet of little Jack posted by Faris in July, 2013.

If you’re wondering if there is going to be a follow up to the enormously successful Guardians of the Galaxy, wonder no more. Pratt confirmed that the sequel is currently in development. Additionally, the 35-year-old actor just wrapped production for Jurassic World, the fourth Jurassic Park movie.
