Police were called in to prevent the suicide of American Idol alum, Josh Gracin, last night. The country star shocked many when he published on Facebook an apparent suicide note. TMZ reported that law enforcement rushed to his home in Spring Hill, TN to find him gone. His wife was home, and with her help, they were able to intercept him.
The star is now safe after being brought to a 5150 psychiatric hold. He is being examined by doctors, and he is cooperating.
The note, after getting lots of attention from concerned fans, was removed from Facebook sometime last night. Taste of Country managed to get a screen capture of the note. The contents read as follows:
“I’ve loved her for 17 years… I made mistakes… I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most… I love you all… You have given me the greatest gift. You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do most… Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music … Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye.”
Another post was deleted, presumably from Gracin himself, which stated: “To all of you.. I apologize dearly for what I have put you through today… I am ok and I am getting help. I am so sorry to all of you.”
This is Josh's manager, Amy. Thank you everyone for your prayers & concern. Josh is safe & with his family now. I promise to update soon.

Gracin’s struggles seem to be far from over. The last official communication the public has received through social media was a cancellation of his show today. No word has been heard as of yet if his management team will cancel any more.
Fans have reason to be relieved, however. Country music has not lost one of its stars today.
