American Horror Story returned to FX last week with the debut of its third season, Coven. The season follows the series’ established pattern of telling a different story from the previous one. This time it’s about witches.

Early reactions have been pretty positive (having Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett probably helps).

The official American Horror Story YouTube channel has released a new seven-minute video of director/co-executive producer Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and director of photography Michael Gol talking about the first episode, titled “Bitchcraft”.

The second episode debuts on FX tonight.
